Welcome. I can think of no better way to start our first blog posting than with this quote from Henry David Thoreau:
“If one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.”Henry David Thoreau
Let’s pause to think about that. How do we believe that we can have an amazing romantic relationship if we imagine it? It would be great to believe that, right, but we are not age 4 anymore, living in a fantasyland. We have seen some of the realities of life that don’t always seem to jive with that happy statement.
So, let’s talk then about the secrets of making that statement work for us in our lives. It will involve some action – it’s fun, positive feeling action, and it will be worth it. Does that make it easier? I do a lot of mindset coaching however, I know you cannot JUST sit around and think positive, and you will get whatever you want served to you on a platter … oh wait, in this situation, let’s say, the ideal person for you will not just happen to be walking through your living room while you sit on the couch thinking about them! Well, it’s not likely, anyway.
So how do we make this statement true for us? First, let’s identify clearly what we want. Imagine having it – that beautiful romantic relationship. What does it look and feel like? Next, let’s turn our inspired thoughts into some action! What are you inspired to do after really imagining what it feels like and looks like to have that wonderful romantic relationship?
Post your ideas and post your questions, and together, we will all learn, and we will be ready for that relationship … and this relationship may show up way more easily than you initially thought.
So come on – dust off those dreams of living in an amazing relationship with a terrific romantic partner – let’s shine up that dream – let’s decide we really want it because having that relationship will bring us immense joy and is worth a little work – let’s choose to go after it. If you need help or a cheerleader, I am here for that. Can you imagine how wonderful it would be to live that dream? I want that for you, but I cannot want it more than you do.
With great love, Suzanne
